Homestay in the Philippines
In Japan, the availability of the facilities that would cater to the needs of the elders and retirees had become inadequate. Apart from not receiving their annuity at the appropriate time, the money is not enough to cover the expenses for their retirement because of the high standard of living. Thus, the retirees are by and large worried on how to cope up with the said crisis. Many are considering leaving Japan to retire in another country.
And many had done so. However, choosing a foreign place that would fit to one's life style and standards is rather difficult. To solve this problem, we came up with a live-in program wherein the retirees are invited to stay in the Philippines at a minimal expense and at a certain perriod of time to experience beforehand the culture, the food, the people, and to see how living in Philippines is. We call this, the "Homestay Program."

Coming from the cold north, the Kingdom of Norway, to find a place for retirement in a warmer country has a long time been on the agenda. Countries like Chile, Malaysia, Thailand and Spain has been assessed, but not found to fill our needs. In 2008, I was lucky to get a work visit to Philippines. It soon turned out that Philippines would be the perfect place to spend our future together. A SRRV was obtained in May 2009, and me and Gemma started to look for a place for house. As frequent international travels still would be required for work performance, a house not too far from the airport was desirable. In Manila our first place to search was BF-Homes Paranaque. After driving around, we ended up at Elysium. Unit 21/5 was still out for sales. We liked it so much that we extended our stay in Manila with one day to be able to sign the sales contract and perform required payment. After now staying in the house for more than one month, we confirm that the House and the Elysium community fulfill our expectations and dreams. A quiet and nice place, and a lot of friendly and warm people has made our stay so far very pleasant.
We moved to Philippines in October, 2005. As a family, we had been coming back again and again for the past five years. After discussion, we decided to move from Scotland (U.K.) to The Elysium Townhouse in BF Homes for the following reasons:
We were extremely impressed by the friendliness of the Filipino people.
We were very impressed with the quality of the Townhouse being built, the cleanliness and security that was offered by The Elysium Townhomes.
A few other reason that made our choice easy was the the close vicinity of all our needs. Banks, shops, beauty parlors, laundries, etc. and the malls in both Filinvest and Alabang Town Center. The complex has many facilities. Tennis Court, Basketball Court, Adult Swimming Pool, also a children's Pool. Since we have been here, security has been upgraded with CCTV cameras is a pleasant place to stay.
I purchased Elysium Town House in order to spend my retired life. Now I'am satisfied with my present life. From youth, I loved the Philippines due to it's beautiful scenery and blue sea particularly I like tropical fruit. It also makes me happy, anyway I will love the Philippines more as my second mother land.
