Visa Application - Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV) The Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV) is not a Tourist Visa. It is a special non-immigrant visa that provides its holder with multiple re-entry privileges and indefinite stay in the Philippines. It is processed by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), a government authority of the Philippines and is issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation. This visa is issued to foreigners or former Filipinos who wish to stay in the Philippines for a long period of time, provided they comply with the necessary requirements. This program is under the Office of the President. Since the visa holder is given a permanent resident status, he may enter and leave the country whenever he wants to. The visa holder is also exempted from travel tax. The required Time Dollar Deposit for membership shall be retured to the visa holder upon withdrawal of his membership from the program. Documentary Requirements & Schedule of Fees Former Filipinos citizens and Foreign Nationals except those classified as restricted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Bureau of Immigration. At least 35 years old with no criminal or derogatory record and no contagious or loathsome disease.
Must be physically present in the Philippines. For 50 years old and above applicant, the required Time Deposit is US $20,0000 while for 35 years old to 49 years old applicant, Time Deposit of US $50,000 is required.For former Filipino Citizens (at least 35 years old) Time Deposit of US $1,500 is required. The Retiree's deposit or account shall not be withdrawn by the Retiree for the duration of his participation in the Program except upon proper notice or approval by the PRA.However, the interest earning of the Time Deposit is withdrawable without PRA clearance. Retirees who qualified to join the program has the option to convert their Time Deposit into active investments after a holding period of thirty (30) days from the date of SRRV issuance.
PRA members can choose to invest their deposit through the folowing: (1) Purchase, acquisition and ownership of a condominium unit. A member can bring with him, without additional deposit, his spouse and a child who is legitimate, unmarried and below 21 years old, or if the spouse is not joining, two (2) legitimate children (provided, they are unmarried and below 21 years old). Additional children with the same qualifications may also be allowed to join the principal retiree provided there is an additional deposit of US US $15,000 per child. The additional deposit is treated under the same terms and conditions with that of the principal deposit.(*This does not apply to former Filipino Citizens) As long as the principal and the additional deposits are maintained in the PRA The PRA member may avail of the following benefits: The applicant must submit the following documents to PRA. *** All documents obtained/ issued abroad must have an English Translation duly authenticated by the Philippine The Processing Fee or the Application Fee is inclusive of PRA Service Charges, PRA ID Card and Immigration Express Fee. As an official PRA marketer, we give assistance in the preparation and processing of documents needed for SRRVisa application at no extra fees or charges. Once the documentary requirements are satisfied and the necessary fees settled, they will then be endorsed to PRA. The SRR Visa Application is prepared and transmitted to the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation for approval. The SRRVisa normally takes 10 to 14 working days to get approved and the I.D card issued. The applicant has to be physically present in the Philippines and during these period we offer the use of our Homestay Program at a minimal price, inclusive of breakfast and dinner with maid & laundry services, until after the Visa is released and the I.D.Card is issued.
